Color Vision Test

Based on Ishihara / HRR / D-15 and other international standards, complete red-green color vision screening in minutes

This test is a health screening tool. Results are for reference only and do not replace diagnosis by a professional ophthalmologist. If screening suggests possible color vision deficiency, please visit an eye care institution for a formal examination.

Color Vision Science

Three Cone Types

Human retina contains S (short/blue), M (medium/green), and L (long/red) cone cells, most sensitive to 420nm, 530nm, and 560nm wavelengths respectively. Color vision deficiencies usually stem from dysfunction in one or more cone types.

Color Vision Simulation

Under normal vision, traffic lights, fruits, and rainbows are vivid and distinct. Color-deficient individuals (e.g., red-green blind) perceive these scenes with altered hue combinations, affecting daily life and career choices.

Visible Spectrum

The human-visible light wavelength range is approximately 380nm (violet) to 700nm (red). Color vision tests evaluate your ability to discriminate specific wavelength combinations across this spectrum.
